Soulmate (“we,” “us,” or “our”) offers premium features, such as enhanced AI chat capabilities or additional conversation modes, through in-app purchases or subscriptions. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions for refunds, in compliance with Google Play and Apple App Store policies.
1. Free Version and Ads
The free version of the App may display ads to support its operation. No payment or refund applies to the free version. You can opt out of personalized ads via Google’s settings (e.g., myadcenter.google.com) or by emailing [email protected] with your request.
2. Refund Eligibility
- Google Play: Refunds for in-app purchases or subscriptions are available within 48 hours of purchase if the feature was not used, subject to Google Play’s refund policies. After 48 hours, refunds are at our discretion and may be denied if the feature was used (e.g., enhanced AI chat capabilities accessed or additional conversation modes enabled).
- Apple App Store: Refunds are processed through Apple’s refund process. You can request a refund via your Apple account, subject to Apple’s policies. We do not directly process App Store refunds.
- Discretionary Refunds: If a premium feature fails to work as intended due to a technical issue, contact us at [email protected] within 7 days of purchase to request a refund, which we may grant at our discretion.
Payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Refunds are subject to Stripe’s processing timelines, which may vary.
3. Subscription Auto-Renewal and Cancellation
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- To cancel, go to your Google Play or Apple App Store account settings. Cancellation prevents future charges but does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current billing period.
- Pricing and subscription terms are clearly displayed before purchase, in compliance with US state laws (e.g., CCPA non-discrimination) and UK consumer protection laws.
4. How to Request a Refund
- For Google Play purchases, submit a refund request via the Google Play Store or email [email protected] with your order details. We will respond within 7 business days.
- For Apple App Store purchases, follow Apple’s refund process at https://support.apple.com/billing.
- For discretionary refunds, email [email protected] with your purchase details and reason for the request.
